Subsection 10.1.1 Lesson on Plotting of Vector Fields

In this lesson, vector fields are introduced in both two and three dimensions. Examples of the graphs of other types of functions are presented along with several motivating examples (like wind speed and direction across the surface of the Earth). The process of creating a plot of the vector field is described including how important selecting the proper density of vectors in the plot. Further, various vector operations including projection of vectors are applied to vector fields.
